fallen angel, a poem

sometimes I forget
the devil is a fallen angel
I have free will
and the God I serve is able
so I remain grateful
even when they act hateful
Father forgive them for they know not what they do
bring them closer to You
sometimes I forget
the devil is a fallen angel
walking amongst us
attacking our conscious
he’s had infinite years of practice
he’s an addict
sometimes I forget
the devil is a fallen angel
but I remember
the Most High sent him
he gets permission
for his mission
will I pass or will I fail
end up in a mental jail
I exhale
the Lord will prevail
sometimes I forget
the devil is a fallen angel
I have free will
and the God I serve is able
so I remain grateful
because my God is faithful
Heavenly Father,
I come before You seeking strength and courage. Your Word reminds me that in my weakness, You are my strength. I trust in Your promise that all things work together for good to those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. Help me to remember this truth, even in times of difficulty and uncertainty. Lord, help me to resist the devil, knowing that as I stand firm in Your truth, he will flee. Strengthen me with the armor of faith, that I may walk boldly in righteousness and not grow weary. Lead me in Your path, Lord, and keep my heart anchored in Your promises.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Amen.
