Chapter 49 | Labyrinth

Walking My Path… Literally
On my new 49th year, I gave myself a Life Path Consultation… pulling cue cards for my year ahead.

The very last card? Labyrinth | Journey.
At the bottom of the deck? Lightning | Disruption.
The real confirmation? It had already happened.
I flashback to 3/16/2025 in Georgia… bad storms, flight delayed 7 hours. In this case, what was on the bottom (the shadow) was truly in the past.
Proverbs 16:9 “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
That morning, I had planned to take a hot air balloon ride something I had been looking forward to but as life often does, things took an unexpected turn. The ride was canceled due to high winds. What felt like a disappointment at first was actually divine intervention.I didn’t realize it in the moment, but God had already rearranged my day to be exactly what I needed. Instead of floating above the earth, I found myself grounded in it, walking a labyrinth for the first time…
Barefoot at the labyrinth, I said repeatedly: “I walk in wisdom, knowledge, and divine alignment. My path is clear. God directs my steps.” With each painful step on the pebbles, I reminded myself… life can be painful, but keep going. So I did. I kept going. The labyrinth wasn’t a maze; I didn’t need to find my way out but there were times where I still wondered if I was going in the right direction, was I walking circles with no exit??? Was I making progress, or just repeating the same steps, the same lessons, over and over again???
I was not.
Because even when it felt repetitive, even when the path curved and doubled back, I was still moving forward. Every painful step, the ones that felt uncertain were leading me exactly where I was meant to be. The journey wasn’t about rushing to the center or figuring out the perfect route… it was about trusting that the path had already been laid before me.
Isn’t that how life works?
We question.
We overthink.
We wonder if we’re stuck when, in reality, we are being divinely led.
God was leading me all along.
What made this even more special was because my plans changed, I was also able to sit on the receiving end for once. I booked a session… something I typically offer to others, but this time, it was my turn to be poured into. I came into the session with no expectations, but left with profound confirmation and clarity. It was like God was speaking directly to me, reminding me of the very things I tell my clients: You are not crazy. This is your calling. You are chosen. Nothing is random. There are always signs. You are exactly where you need to be.
I’ve spent so much time being the messenger, delivering confirmations to others, that I almost forgot… I am also on this journey. I am also divinely guided. I am also worthy of receiving. This was the moment I realized that God wasn’t just working through me. He was working for me too.
Later that evening, when I pulled the Labyrinth card, I not only knew what I had to do… but that I was on the right path. So, I returned to the labyrinth, this time with intention and shoes. I carried a Rock (symbolizing my burdens), Tiger’s Eye (courage and confidence), Citrine (abundance and manifestation), and Amethyst (intuition and spiritual clarity). I placed them all in the center.
No more disruption.
No more doubt.
Just trust.
Psalm 55:22 “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.”
A Prayer for Divine Timing & Trusting the Path
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for divine redirection, for knowing what I need even when I don’t understand the shifts in my plans. When doors close or paths change, help me to trust that You are guiding me toward something greater. Lord, I release my expectations and surrender my timeline to You. I know that nothing is delayed and everything is unfolding in Your perfect time. Help me to remain open, to see the signs You place before me, and to move forward in faith, even when I don’t see the full picture. I ask for divine confirmation for anyone reading this prayer. May they receive a sign today that reminds them they are on the right path. May they feel peace, knowing that You are always speaking, always leading, always aligning their steps. I cast every burden, every worry, and every doubt at Your feet. I choose to trust. I choose to walk forward with confidence. I choose to believe before I see it.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
