Wisdom leads. Flesh deceives.
God, I trust Your instructions.
Proverbs 23 reminds us to stay rooted in wisdom and discipline, especially when the world tempts us to indulge, drift, or compromise our values. This chapter calls us back to alignment, discernment, and spiritual maturity.
Proverbs 23:4-5 | Don’t Chase Fleeting Riches
“Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone.”
This verse is a call to pause. Are we striving or surrendering? God isn’t against abundance, but He is against burnout and idolatry. Wealth gained without wisdom will eventually evaporate. Let us learn to build slowly with divine instruction and endurance, not hustle that leaves us drained and spiritually empty.
Proverbs 23:12 | Apply Your Heart to Instruction
“Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge.”
This is an invitation to become students of God’s truth. It reminds us that wisdom isn’t something we stumble into—it’s something we pursue. Are we teachable? Are we allowing correction to shape us? Growth doesn’t always feel good, but it always bears fruit. As we deepen our roots in God’s Word, our discernment sharpens.
Proverbs 23:17-18 | Don’t Envy, Stay Zealous in Hope
“Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the Lord. There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.”
It’s easy to look at the success of others and feel behind. But God’s Word tells us: don’t envy. Don’t compare. What God has for you will come in due season. Stay passionate about your walk with God. There is a hope for you, and it is protected, preserved, and positioned.
Psalm Reflection
Psalm 119:105 – “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
When we don’t know what’s ahead, God’s Word becomes our compass. One step at a time, He leads us. Even when the path seems dim, His light never fails.
🪄 Biblical Tarot Reflection
Three of Grains (1 Kings 6:12) – “As for this temple you are building…”
This card reflects the call to build something lasting, but only with God’s blueprints. Solomon was instructed to follow God’s commands in order to see the promise fulfilled. We are also builders: of dreams, families, businesses, and callings. But the foundation must be obedience.
Eight of Grains (Exodus 36:1) – “Bezalel, Oholiab, and every skilled person…”
This card honors craftsmanship and divine skill. God gives wisdom for the work. We aren’t meant to create on our own strength. Every spiritual and practical gift we’ve been given is meant to glorify Him. Tap in, slow down, and honor your craft.
Queen of Chalices (1 Samuel 1:27-28) – Hannah’s Prayer
This card embodies deep surrender and fulfillment after long waiting. Hannah prayed earnestly for a child, and when God blessed her, she gave her son back in dedication. It’s a reminder that what we pray for, we must be willing to steward in alignment with God’s will.
Knight of Cups | Ariel: The Revealing God
This angelic card represents spiritual revelation. What has been hidden is being revealed. It is time to lean into prayer, solitude, and stillness so you can recognize the divine whispers pointing you toward destiny.

Let us open our mouths to pray
Heavenly Father,
Today I come before You with humility, reverence, and a heart open to correction. Your Word in Proverbs 23 has pierced through the noise of this world and reminded me that not everything that looks good is good for me. Help me to see beyond the surface. Help me to discern the path that leads to life, peace, and Your promises.
Lord, I repent for every moment I chased wealth, fame, or recognition instead of chasing wisdom. I repent for the times I trusted in my own cleverness, leaning on logic more than Your Spirit. You said in Proverbs 23:4-5 not to wear ourselves out to get rich, because riches are fleeting. Yet how often have I pushed myself to the brink trying to prove my worth through performance? Father, forgive me. Rewire my perspective. Help me pursue what matters in heaven more than what impresses on earth.
I repent for the times I’ve resisted instruction. You said to apply my heart to instruction and my ears to knowledge, but pride kept me from being teachable. I ask You to tear down every stronghold of ego, every lie that says “I know better.” Let Your voice be louder than my opinions. Let Your Word re-shape me.
God, I also repent for the moments I’ve been envious of others their success, their timing, their journey. Proverbs 23:17-18 reminds me not to envy sinners but to be zealous for the fear of the Lord. Help me realign. Give me a heart of worship instead of comparison. Give me eyes to see that there is a future hope for me and it will not be cut off.
Break the strongholds in my life, Lord. Where I’ve built on cracked foundations, uproot what no longer serves You. Pour fresh cement where You want me to rebuild. Remind me that what I’m building my life, my faith, my purpose can only stand if You are the foundation.
I thank You for revealing the hidden things. I thank You for angelic assistance and divine insight. I believe that what I could not see before, I will now see with clarity. What felt confusing is becoming clear. You are guiding me, even when the way is unfamiliar.
Restore my hope today, Lord. Remind me that it’s not too late to begin again. Not too late to change direction. Not too late to receive fresh instruction. Help me build with You, not just for You.
I declare that I am not chasing fantasy. I am walking in truth.
I declare that I will not build on false identities. I will build on the foundation of Your Word.
I declare that I am aligned with heaven, and nothing sent to distract me will prosper.
I am protected. I am purposed. I am provided for.
Bless every person who reads this. May they feel seen, known, and invited into the safety of Your voice. I ask that the same grace You’ve shown me falls fresh on those I love. Let repentance sweep over us, not with shame, but with power to be made new.
I seal this prayer in wisdom, in humility, and in full surrender to the path You’ve set before me.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
✨ Affirmation
I will not envy the path of others. I trust that my future hope is secure in God.
