Wisdom Knows When to Wait
Proverbs 25 is a chapter of royal instruction, refined counsel, and hidden truths. These are not everyday proverbs, but kingdom codes. They teach restraint, humility, divine timing, and the sacred art of knowing when to speak and when to remain silent. This chapter reminds us that true wisdom does not parade itself it conceals, protects, and discerns. It also calls us to maturity in conflict, sincerity in gifting, and love for even those who oppose us.
Verse Reflections
Proverbs 25:3
“As the heavens are high and the earth is deep, so the hearts of kings are unsearchable.”
This verse points to the depth of divine leadership. Those entrusted with spiritual insight are often misunderstood because they’re not meant to be easily read. Isaiah 7:11 invites us to ask for a sign, whether in the heights above or depths below, which ties perfectly into this verse. Some things are hidden not to confuse, but to protect their timing. You are not called to explain everything. Sometimes, God asks us to hold sacred space in silence. What He reveals to you may be for intercession, not announcement. There’s power in spiritual secrecy.
Proverbs 25:9
“If you take your neighbor to court, do not betray another’s confidence.”
This is a verse of spiritual discipline. It reminds us that even when we feel wronged or betrayed, we are not called to expose others out of pain. Peter’s denial of Jesus in Matthew 26:75 was a moment of shame, yet Jesus never exposed him, He restored him. When people fall short, God may call us to intercede for their healing, not announce their weakness. This verse checks our motives. You may have the right to speak, but not the permission.
Proverbs 25:14
“Like clouds and wind without rain is one who boasts of gifts never given.”
This verse convicts the soul. It’s not enough to speak of gifts we must walk in them humbly and with purpose. Jeliel, angel of love and wisdom, represents the Two of Wands, which is the energy of alignment, action, and discernment. Wisdom knows when to step forward and when to pause. Love does not perform. Victory doesn’t always come through a show of strength, but through silent obedience. True spiritual power manifests not in noise, but in fruit.
Proverbs 25:21-22
“If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you.”
This is the essence of kingdom character. Feed the one who slandered you. Love the one who left you. Forgive the one who couldn’t carry your truth. This is the way of Christ. This is the wisdom of Mary, mother of Jesus who held pain and prophecy in the same womb. This is the energy of Temperance, who balances fire with water, justice with mercy. When you feed your enemy, you let God fight your battle. That’s when divine reward shows up.
📖 Psalm Reflection
Psalm 25:14
“The Lord confides in those who fear Him; He makes His covenant known to them.”
God shares His secrets with those who know how to hold them. Reverence opens revelation. If you’ve been receiving divine insight, this Psalm confirms it’s because God trusts you.
Stay close.
Stay consecrated.

📝 Journal Prompts
Where is God asking me to hold my revelation in silence?
Have I ever spoken from pain instead of purpose?
In what areas have I boasted instead of acting in humility?
How can I feed those who’ve wounded me without losing myself in the process?
🤲🏾 Prayer
Father God,
Thank You for trusting me with the deep things. Thank You for calling me to be a vessel of both mystery and clarity. I repent for every moment I’ve spoken when I should have prayed. I repent for every time I tried to prove my worth instead of walking in quiet obedience. I repent for the times I exposed others in pain or disappointment rather than protecting what was sacred. You are a God of justice, but You are also a God of mercy. Teach me how to hold the balance.
Your Word says in Isaiah 7:11, “Ask the Lord your God for a sign, whether in the deepest depths or in the highest heights.” So I ask You now for spiritual discernment. Show me when to speak and when to remain still. Let my wisdom be felt even in silence. Let my presence minister more than my words.
I repent for boasting about gifts I didn’t use to serve You. Let my gifts be real, rooted, and righteous. Let me carry the wisdom of Jeliel and the grace of Mary. Let me rise with the maturity of Temperance and the boldness of love.
And God, help me love my enemies. Help me serve those who have hurt me. Let my reward come not from revenge, but from righteous mercy. Like Peter, I may have denied You at times through my actions, but I return to You now fully. Restore me. Refine me. Use me.
I seal this prayer in reverence, compassion, maturity, and divine reward.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
